Jeff Cribb

Jeff Cribb, founder of Hero Tattoo, has been tattooing for more than a decade. Influenced by many styles, Jeff prides himself on being versatile, combining a modern style with Japanese and traditional motifs. After apprenticing in Florida, Jeff went up to Rockland County, NY, to work with Larry Davis and J.R. Maloney at Explicit and Vanguard Tattoo. It was here that the boy began to fully develop as an artist and gives much gratitude and respect to those guys.

Going nomad after two years, Jeff worked the convention circuit from Boston to Austin. He also did guest spots nationwide at shops such as New Skool, Love/Hate, No Regrets and Inksmith & Rogers – the closest thing to home during this time. Here Jeff collaborated with artists Mike Wilson, Mike Bruce, Jeremy Swed and the rest of the crew.

While traveling, Jeff’s vision of a shop started to formulate. In his mind, there was no better place for a permanent headquarters than in his hometown. Jeff opened Hero Tattoo, in part, as a place to honor his fellow artists and the craft of tattooing. When you walk through the doors, this respect is evident.
